Libraries offing ‘Level Up Your Research Skills’ workshop series

The Libraries’ Level Up You Research Skills workshops will help you learn research tips and tricks to succeed in academics. Prep for your next research assignment, find resources for a literature review, situate yourself in previous literature and learn where to find key resources by attending one or more of these workshops.

PubMed Labs:  Advanced PubMed 

A new version of PubMed has launched: PubMed Labs. It has an updated, cleaner look, with an easy-to-use interface. The search engine has been modified to make it easier to find the articles that best match your query. The new PubMed still contains the same trusted citation data as the old database. And new PubMed runs in the cloud, to increase long term stability and sustainability of the platform.

Introduction to Federal Policy and Legislative Resources 

This workshop will show users how to locate and utilize resources for locating policy and legislative resources. In addition to resources for locating bills and laws, users will also be provided with an introduction on how to find supporting documents including current and historical legislative histories, hearings, documents, and prints.

From Page to Database: Finding Scholarly Articles from Popular Sources  

Do you want to be able to identify quality articles, and find scholarly sources from articles you might see in casual reading? This workshop will help alleviate the stress of research by bolstering your skills in both of those fields.
