The WVU Center for Resilient Communities, in partnership with the WVU Food Justice Lab, will host their online food and race reading group from noon to 1 p.m. every Friday in March and April. During this session, the group will read and discuss "Indigenous Food Sovereignty in the United States: Restoring Cultural Knowledge, Protecting Environments and Regaining Health," edited by Devon A. Mihusuah and Elizabeth Hoover. This book is a collection of essays by indigenous food scholars-activists and practitioners exploring the "meaning and importance of food sovereignty for Native peoples in the United States.”

Register for the food and race reading group.
