The Office of Admissions is accepting New Student Orientation Leader applications for summer. In order to apply, students must have at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA, be a full-time student and cannot graduate before December.
OLs can not be enrolled in in-person classes during Summer Session I and must seek prior approval for classes during Summer Sessions II. Students can enroll in online classes throughout the summer.
Responsibilities of being an Orientation Leader include:
Acting as a resource for incoming students and their families by answering questions and/or referring to additional resources.
Cooperating with staff, faculty, guests and other constituents of WVU to facilitate the success of all aspects of the New Student Orientation programming.
Leading virtual discussion groups and webinars for incoming students and families.
Assisting in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of New Student Orientation.
Assisting in the development of class schedules during pre-advising sessions.
Attending all required training sessions and events.
