Amy Thompson, chair of the Department of World Languages, Literatures and Linguistics and professor of applied linguistics in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences, will discuss the state of learning languages other than English in Anglophone contexts on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 2:30 p.m. Thompson will join prominent scholars in the field and draw upon a recent publication she co-edited, "Language Learning in Anglophone Countries: Challenges, Practices, Ways Forward."
