The WVU community is invited to join Active Minds for two community service opportunities throughout December to benefit individuals who are speech impaired and/or active military members and first responders.

The first opportunity is to work with VOCALiD, a database of voices for those who have lost their ability to speak. Volunteers will record sentences to contribute to this vocal bank, creating voices for those who are impaired.

The other opportunity is to work with Operation Gratitude to write letters to active military members and first responders. Letters must be typed or written then scanned and emailed to activemindswvu@gmail.com.

Find more information on these community service opportunities and review the guide for sending letters to Operation Gratitude.
