WVU to resume in-person student activities

With the return to limited in-person instruction on Monday (Sept. 28), WVU students will again be able to participate in some in-person activities, including WVUp All Night, Adventure West Virginia and the Refresh student activity series.

“We know that you are eager to participate in activities and given the decline in student daily positive case numbers, student quarantine and isolation, we believe you may safely participate,” said Dean of Students Corey Farris. “You will be required to follow all established rules and guidelines, including wearing a face covering, practicing physical distancing and limiting the number of people gathered indoors in social settings. And, a CLEAR campus pass from the daily wellness check will be required of each student for admission at every event.”

Guidelines for Student Organization Operations and Meeting and Event Policy are available on the Student Life website. In-person gatherings are limited to 10 people or fewer, and every participant will be required to complete the Daily Wellness Check – which is sent to MIX email accounts – and show a valid CLEAR campus pass for the day of the activity.

Club Sports will resume based on the previously established guidelines and weekly COVID-19 testing for all participants. Club Sports officers will be contacted over the next few days by the Competitive Sports Staff with information about the process. Students with questions about Club Sports in general should contact the Campus Recreation Staff at club.sports@mail.wvu.edu.
