Employees who want to preview Applaud — the new software that will improve your experience with WVU’s time and leave system — can sign up for a 30-minute, virtual demonstrations on Zoom on Oct. 7 and 8. A brief Q&A session will follow each presentation.
Representatives from Information Technology Services, Talent and Culture and Shared Services will show how the Leave Request, Web Clock and Time Card services will work when Applaud goes live. Most people will see the changes on Monday, Oct. 12, but hourly employees who work weekends and use the Web Clock will see the new system starting Sunday afternoon, Oct. 11. Register for a Zoom session:
You will access Applaud the same way you currently get to MyTime, through links in the employee view of portal.wvu.edu. All features and links currently available in the Portal will remain in place with Applaud. And due to its intuitive design, most employees will need little training to use the new system.
Applaud will let all WVU employees:
Edit education and qualifications to include degrees, certifications and more.
Add metadata tags to their profile to include skills, projects or interests. Employees can search for others at WVU using these tags (similar to LinkedIn).
See organizational charts for any department, eliminating the need for this information to be posted on public websites.
Search for similar positions, titles or job classifications.
View leave and time on one integrated calendar.
See your teammates’ approved time off for better planning and coordination.
Receive notifications when leave requests are processed.
Easily edit personal information to update emergency contacts, home address, phone number and personal email. Note: Employees must mark their personal mobile phone number as “Home” or it will be visible to all employees.)
