Student move-in volunteers spent more than 100 volunteer hours helping students and parents recycle more than 11 tons of cardboard during this year’s extended move-in process. Volunteers helped break down boxes and separate clean cardboard from packaging destined for the landfill.

Here are a few common cardboard tips:

  • Both corrugated and non-corrugated (cereal and tissue boxes) cardboard are accepted.

  • Assist our campus service workers and help save space in recycling dumpsters by breaking down boxes.

  • Only clean and dry cardboard is accepted. Boxes contaminated with food, liquid, or grease should go to the landfill.
