West Virginia University conducted a test of its WVU Alert emergency messaging system yesterday (Sept. 3).
If you did not receive an email or text message during this test, visit alert.wvu.edu to add or update your contact information and ensure it is correct. Faculty and staff must manually register their email addresses and cell phone numbers to receive WVU Alerts.
The WVU Alert system is used to communicate information about incidents that pose an imminent threat to the health or safety of the University campus community. Messages are sent out through the system when there is an immediate threat on campus or when weather conditions delay or close the University.
