Mindfulness is the ability to focus one’s attention in the here and now. The results of mindfulness changes our relationship to stress, lessens reactivity, enhances sleep and increases resiliency.

Join the Mindful Steps Team to begin or renew your mindfulness practice, address common challenges, and learn tips for applying mindful techniques during COVID-19. This four-part series — Aug. 3, 17 and 31 and Sept. 14— is free for students, faculty and staff of WVU. The online video conference takes place from noon to 1 p.m.

Participants can expect to be engaged in a variety of mindful exercises purposefully designed to provide personal and professional value, including:

  • Balancing techniques for burnout

  • Mindful self-care practices

  • Solutions for the sleepless

  • Holistic techniques for pain and sickness
