WVU Shared Services is moving the delivery of annual notice of appointment letters to an online format. The new process will leverage the same software platform – called Blue – used in WVU’s performance review process for staff.

Notice of appointment letters previously were distributed to faculty and staff via paper copies. However, with many employees working remotely, the updated process will allow for a consistent delivery approach across the University.

Beginning this week, non-classified, faculty and faculty-equivalent/academic professionals will receive an email to their WVU account from NoticeofAppointment@mail.wvu.edu along with instructions on how to access their appointment letters for Fiscal Year 2020-2021. The letters will provide information on the employee’s job title, salary and other pertinent employment information as of July 1, which is the beginning of the fiscal year.

Faculty and staff will be required to electronically sign their letters. Employees also may choose to print a copy for their records. View these video instructions for details. Written instructions also are available in the Salesforce Community. Log in with your WVU credentials and search for “Notice of Appointment” to view the article.

Classified employees will continue to access their employment information via portal.wvu.edu in the “My HR” tab.

Visit the Talent and Culture website for more information. Contact WVU Shared Services via the Salesforce Community, by phone 304-293-6006 or by email at sharedservices@mail.wvu.edu with questions.
