Julie Patrick (Psychology), along with co-investigators Kristina Hash (Social Work), Amy Fiske (Psychology), Bernard Schreurs (School of Medicine - Neuroscience) and Betty Mei (Graduate Education and Life) were awarded a R25 grant from the National Institutes of Health’sNational Institute on Aging for the Appalachia Gerontology Experiences-Advancing Diversity in Aging Research program.
The five-year award in excess of $1.7 million will provide training and hands-on experiences in aging and health disparities research to underrepresented students in MSTEM fields.
