The Office of Interprofessional Education will host an event focused on substance use disorder and the associated stigma on March 23 as part of a year-long interprofessional education curriculum for students at the Health Sciences Center.
The session will begin with a presentation highlighting one physician’s personal experience with substance use disorder from 4-5 p.m. in Okey Patterson Auditorium with overflow in Fukishima Auditorium. Faculty, staff and students are welcome to attend the session.
Students will move to their break-out rooms for a patient care simulation activity focused on SUD from 5-6 p.m.
This event is funded through a grant from the West Virginia Bureau for Behavioral Health.
