Students can get ‘behind the bowtie’ at discussion with President Gee

Behind the bow tie

WVU students have the opportunity to ask President Gordon Gee questions during a special discussion Tuesday, March 3.

In cooperation with The Daily Athenaeum and WWVU radio, “Behind the Bowtie: A student conversation with President Gee” will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Gluck Theatre in the Mountainlair. A panel of students, moderated by DA Editor Douglas Soule, will ask Gee to discuss issues of importance to students. There will also be an opportunity for general Q&A. Students, faculty and staff can suggest issues to be addressed, or specific questions, by emailing them to danewsroom@mail.wvu.edu.

Following the discussion, the Mountaineer Maniacs is sponsoring a watch party at 9 p.m. for the men’s basketball game at Iowa State University. There will be food and prizes courtesy of the Maniacs.

U-92 radio will also broadcast the discussion live, and have related programming both before and after the event.
