The Morgantown Youth/Teen choir, sponsored by the WVU Community Music Program, will start its spring term rehearsal schedule at the WVU Creative Arts Center Thursday, Jan. 23.
The MYC meets regularly on Thursday afternoons in Room 4122. Under the direction of Matthew Cyphert, the Morgantown Youth Choir, open to ages 12-18, welcomes young singers who wish to share and develop their artistic talents while enjoying music-making in a friendly fun setting. The choir rehearses from 5-6:30 p.m.
The goal of the Morgantown Youth Choir is to bring music, culture, arts and pleasure to the region’s children and families, thus creating strength, character, and opportunity for its members. Through a wide range of choral music, our youth will experience other lands and languages all while learning about vocal technique, performing arts, and goal achievement through individual accomplishments and teamwork.
