Global Engagement Office announces Student Travel Award Winners

global health program

The Global Engagement Office at WVU Health Sciences has announced the winners of its annual Student Travel Award.

Named in memory of Nancy Sanders, an essential figure of the Global Health Program at WVU who passed away suddenly in 2017, these awards aim to support students and faculty in creating long-term, self-sustaining global activities and participating in globally focused field placements or community-based research projects.

This is a competitive grant opportunity for students currently enrolled in degree programs at Health Sciences. The intent of each $2,000 award is geared towards promoting a set of basic or community-based research tools that will help the students to objectively and scientifically approach larger and more complex research projects in the future. These awards utilize a self-nomination process and are open to any currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate full-time student in good standing at Health Sciences.
