Grad Hacks: From Critic to Friend - How Self-Kindness Can Build Resilience When You Need It Most

friends

Faculty should refer their graduate students to our workshop today (Nov. 5) from 7-8 p.m. in the Life Sciences building, Room G21.

This workshop provides simple tools for responding in a kind, compassionate way whenever we are experiencing stress or difficult emotions. Through discussion, meditation, and experiential exercises, participants gain practical skills to help bring self-compassion into their daily lives. Learn how to shift from being so hard on yourself to handling challenging situations with greater ease. Motivate yourself and interact with others from a place of kindness rather than criticism.

Sponsored by the Carruth Center for Counseling and Psychological Services and the Graduate and Professional Student Senate.
