A free dual course is available Nov. 15 at the United Hospital Center. for West Virginia area healthcare and social workers, physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners who are battling the opioid epidemic.
Course 1: ER/LA Opioid REMS: Achieving Safe Use While Improving Patient Care - 9 a.m. to noon. Register for Course 1 or email Donna Steigleder at donna.steigleder@nwvvrhec.org.
Course 2: PCSS Half and Half MAT Waiver Training 12:30 - 5 p.m. $1000 lost productivity payment to any physician who obtains the waiver to prescribe buprenorphine, and a $750 payment to any nurse practitioner or physician assistant who obtains the waiver.
