Leadership and Organization Development is providing an opportunity for supervisors that would like to develop strong practices around coaching, setting performance expectations and goal setting. The half-day session Oct. 8 from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. will introduce the five elements of emotional intelligence. The session will be held in the Rhododendron Room at the Mountainlair.
Learners will discuss how emotional intelligence influences coaching and development of others. Each participant will walk away with tools and resources to help them guide conversation and outcomes around performance standards and goals.

Demonstrate understanding of Emotional Intelligence and how it impacts coaching.
Define and discuss various ways to coach employees.
Develop coaching skills around the preparation and delivery of a coaching conversation.
Apply techniques that create clear, measurable and accountable goals for performance.
