Faculty are invited to learn how to play a role in change on campus from national expert Adrianna Kezar Sept. 26 from 1-3 p.m. in the Mountaineer Room at the Mountainlair.
Register online by September 23.
Campuses across the country are struggling to implement needed changes, and they typically lack the skills in change leadership needed to navigate obstacles. In this session, we will explore the change process on college campuses to better understand how it occurs so that campus leaders among faculty, staff, administrators and students can support change. We will review the leadership skills required among individual leaders to help them to successfully execute change as part of a leadership team.
Kezar is the co-director of the Pullias Center for Higher Education and a professor of higher education at the University of Southern California Rossier School of Education. She is a national expert on change, governance and leadership in higher education. Her research agenda explores the change process in higher education institutions and the role of leadership in creating change.
Kezar’s visit is provided by the WVU ADVANCE Center and the Office of the Provost and is funded by the Dan and Betsy Brown Lecture Series.
Additional upcoming faculty and leadership development sessions can be found on the WVU faculty website.
