Under West Virginia law, a new West Virginia University president is eligible to receive a two (2) year initial contract, after which the Board of Governors is required to conduct a presidential evaluation every three (3) years thereafter.

President Gordon Gee’s initial review occurred in 2016, so it is time for his three (3) year presidential evaluation.  As part of this process several members of the Board of Governors Evaluation Committee (chaired by Board Vice-Chairman David Alvarez) would like to gather perspectives from different campus stakeholders as an aid to completing their evaluation.

To facilitate this process, the University is extending an open invitation for members of the WVU community to drop by the Shenandoah Room located on the main floor of the Mountainlair (next to the Gluck Theatre) between 3:50-4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 29, and take a few minutes to share with members of the Board of Governors Evaluation Committee any insight, feedback and perspectives on E. Gordon Gee’s performance as president of West Virginia University.

Your input will be a valued component in the important work of this presidential evaluation committee.
