Men's lacrosse hosts Ohio State and Temple this weekend

The Men's Lacrosse team.

The men's lacrosse team (6-6; 2-2) competes in its final two home games of the 2019 season this weekend at the Rec Center fields on the Evansdale campus. On Saturday (April 6), the Mountaineers welcome the Ohio State Buckeyes (club) at 6 p.m.  On Sunday, the Temple Owls swoop into Morgantown for a 1 p.m. face-off.

Under the direction of second-year head coach, Brian Houk, the Mountaineers have battled to one of their most successful seasons since joining the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (MCLA) in 2006. WVU fell to rival #7 Virginia Tech 9-7 in February before beating divisional foes George Washington and Tennessee. The two divisional wins were the first since the 2014 season and left the Mountaineers only 3 goals shy of the 2019 playoffs.

Sunday's game against Temple is Senior Day as WVU honors its six graduating seniors: Midfielders Bryce Prueitt and Levi Pellegrin; Attackman Lane Huntt; Goalkeeper Brian Schemm and Long Stick Midfielder and President Carter Smith.
