MaryAnn Matheny graduated from the WV Junior College in 1976 and joined the Division of Finance team in August 1982. Matheny has worked for WVU for more than 36 years, and all within the Division of Finance; she started out in the Business Office, and moved into Accounts Payable, spent some time in the Payroll and Travel Offices before spending the last 19 years, working with the Sponsored Research Accounting team. During the last two years of her employment, she has served as the back-up administrative assistant for the offices of the AVP of Finance.
Matheny is looking forward to retirement. She has a lot of things planned, and is looking forward to spending time working in her garden, working with her 4-H group, participating with her many church functions, home projects, arts and crafts and diving into her genealogy.
