The WVU men's lacrosse team will begin its 48th season on Friday (Feb.15) in Prosper, Texas, as the team travels to participate in the second annual "Big 12 Classic" lacrosse tournament. The Mountaineers will attempt to defend their "Big 12 Classic" championship title as they open the 2019 campaign against the Oklahoma Sooners. They will also meet Texas Tech and Oklahoma State while in Prosper.
Let by head coach, Brian Houk, and team president/captain, Carter Smith, the Mountaineers hope to capitalize on a strong fall campaign. The 2019 spring season features 17 games between Feb.15 and April 14 including home games against Western Michigan, Liberty, Buffalo, Ohio State Club and Temple.
