Evansdale Library will host an exhibit by students and faculty in Fashion, Dress & Merchandising in the Davis College that showcases fashions and fashion design drawings exploring contemporary issues and sustainable practices. The exhibit will be on display Jan. 24 - May 15.
On Thursday, Jan. 24, from 5-6 p.m., Assistant Professor of Fashion, Dress & Merchandising Colleen Moretz and students will speak about contemporary fashion, with a light reception sponsored by Davis College, School of Design and Community Development. Also this semester, Assistant Professor of Fashion Merchandising Elizabeth Shorrock’s spring 2019 class will design window displays on the Evansdale Library’s second floor, inspired by a visual artist using the WVU Libraries’ Myers Collection of art books. Displays will begin Feb. 7 and rotate weekly through the semester. The Art in the Libraries committee will select their favorite window display. The student winner will receive meal vouchers compliments WVU Dining.
