The curator of a new exhibit at the Health Sciences Library chose 20 photographs that he believes will offer hope to visitors to the building.
West Virginia-based photographer Roger May selected the images from his Looking at Appalachia exhibit based on the idea of “hope” to complement the Health Sciences Quality of Life initiatives. Looking at Appalachia: HOPE will be on display through March 10.
The first Looking at Appalachia exhibit opened in June of 2016 at the Downtown Campus Library with 73 selections. May curates this exhibit of crowd-sourced images from amateur and professional photographers across Appalachia, broadening the contemporary definitions of the region and its people.
Looking at Appalachia: HOPE is coordinated by the WVU Art in the Libraries Program in partnership with the Health Sciences Center. For more information on the Art in the Libraries program visit exhibits.lib.wvu.edu.
