Morgantown Community Orchestra begins Spring rehearsal schedule

An orchestra performing on stage.

The Morgantown Community Orchestra is currently accepting members for its Spring Term 2019 season. The orchestra, under the sponsorship of the WVU Community Music Program,  welcomes intermediate and advanced level players who wish to develop their artistic talents while enjoying music-making in a friendly orchestral setting. Under the direction of Maestro Andre Januario, the orchestra is open to everyone from youth, to non-music and music major students, to adults and senior citizens within the Morgantown area. For potential new members, an informal free trial audition and sit-in is recommended, followed by a chat with the director, because the repertoire is carefully chosen to accommodate the ensemble’s need for music with a wide range of styles and difficulty. The Orchestra meets on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. (sometimes requires a more flexible start-time) at the Creative Arts Center of WVU’s Evansdale Campus. Room 2070. Term membership fee is $54.80(+ $10 processing fee). For more information call 304.293.6946.
