As WVU continues to work collaboratively to move West Virginia forward, WVU Extension Service is committed to helping emerging and established leaders develop their leadership skills to take back to our communities.
The 2019 Community Leadership Academy will be held May 1-3 at the Marriott Waterfront in Morgantown and will feature keynote speaker WVU President Emeritus David C. Hardesty, Jr. who will present "Lessons Learned During a Lifetime of Leading."
The CLA provides community leaders with a solid foundation in public organizational and financial management. Topics emphasize enhancing personal leadership skills , entrepreneurship and provide an understanding of current, complex issues affecting communities.
The academy brings together community leaders, elected officials, economic developers, Chambers of Commerce, business owners and civic-minded residents of West Virginia and nearby states.
