All ITS-managed Apple computers must be upgraded to the High Sierra (10.13) or Mojave (10.14) operating system by Friday, Jan. 11. This upgrade is required to ensure the safety and integrity of WVU data.

Beginning Monday, Dec. 17, Apple users will be prompted to update their machines. You may temporarily delay this upgrade, but after Jan. 11, all ITS-managed Apple computers will be updated automatically.

Upgrading to High Sierra or Mojave should have no impact on your file settings or installed applications. The update process usually takes between 30 and 60 minutes, so be sure to begin the update when your time is flexible.

Apple computers already running the latest macOS will not receive the message prompting you to begin the upgrade.
