Jordan Williams, a graduate student pursuing a master’s in higher education administration from Canton, Ohio, was awarded first place in the Order of Omega Case Study Competition at the Association of Fraternity and Sorority Advisors Annual Meeting, held Nov. 28-Dec. 1, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Williams was partnered with a fellow graduate student from George Mason University and together they wrote a case study addressing systemic issues of diversity in institutions of higher education.

“I am very proud of Jordan who in a very short time has achieved excellence within the field of fraternity and sorority affairs,” said Matthew Richardson, director of the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life. “He is a wonderful representation of our higher education program, our office, our Division and WVU in general.”

The case study competition provides an educational learning experience for graduate students involved in the fraternity and sorority advising profession.

Williams received a full scholarship to the Annual Meeting, where he volunteered to participate in the competition.
