Friday (Dec. 7)— a “date which will live in infamy”—marks the 77th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

WVU, along with local community organizations, will honor Americans who fought on this day with a remembrance which begins at 9:30 a.m. at the USS West Virginia mast and bell.

The scheduled keynote speaker is Capt. Jared Wyrick, Commander of the USS West Virginia, the “Silent Mountaineer.” The Chief of the Boat, FTCS Will Corey, will ring the bell in honor of the fallen.
