HSIC Lunch & Learn - Nov. 27th - Novel Therapeutics & Repurposing Drugs for Personalized Medicine

The Health Sciences Innovation Center will host guest speaker Richard Timmer, who will present “Novel Therapeutics and Repurposing Drugs for Personalized Medicine” Nov. 27 from noon -1 p.m. in Erma Byrd 201. Timmer holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry and now serves as a patent agent with the Thomas Horstemeyer Law firm.  He will discuss research and patent strategy around personalized medicine, and ways for seeking patent protection on repurposed drugs. This talk will be a very informative for both researchers and clinicians with time at the end for audience questions. Lunch will be provided on a first-come first-served basis.
