Become a champion for diversity. Create new initiatives that increase diversity awareness, celebrate differences and empower communities. Engage in all things involving the WVU Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
The Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion encourages students who understand, embrace, respect and value diversity, ethnic cultures, and new ways of thinking and connecting with current and potential WVU students. Diversity Ambassadors will help lead the conversation of change and civility on campus through collaboration and unification of various organizations.
Diversity Ambassador serve as an extension of our office, they help to represent the division, spread our mission and services among peers, and create new programs and initiatives for the student body. Participating students will also have an opportunity to take advantage of various educational and cultural opportunities for development.
Interested students must have attended WVU for a minimum of one year and not be graduating in May 2019, must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75, must submit a statement of interest and a letter of recommendation. All students, especially those belonging to underrepresented communities, are encouraged to join.
