At West Virginia University, our faculty and staff are united by our land-grant mission. Inspired by a common purpose, we work tirelessly every day to strengthen education, healthcare and prosperity throughout our state. And our groundbreaking research is leading the way and creating new opportunities for those who need it most — across West Virginia and around the world.
Help us choose the 2019 WVU Values Coin design. We are further strengthening the WVU Values Coin program for 2019 by involving faculty and staff in the coin design process.
Three coin design options for next year were created with input from faculty and staff who were featured in last year’s Mountaineer Values video vignettes. And we are asking you to help us choose the final design for the 2019 coin, which will be presented to select employees throughout next year.

The WVU Values Coin program began to commemorate the University’s 150th anniversary by recognizing faculty and staff who help bring our mission to life through their daily work here.
Senior leaders awarded 150 commemorative coins in 2017 to faculty and staff who go above and beyond to make our University community a better place by living our core values of Service, Curiosity, Respect, Accountability and Appreciation.
Throughout 2018, recipients of the 2017 coin were asked to demonstrate our shared value of Appreciation and “pay it forward” by identifying other faculty and staff who embody our values and presenting them with a 2018 WVU Values Coin.
If you were a recipient of a 2017 or 2018 WVU Values Coin, be sure to register it.
