Oct. 1 is the preparation day for the annual Rocky Habitat Restoration involves gathering dead and downed branches from designated areas of the Coopers Rock State Forest to create a “material depot” that will be used Oct. 7 during the Rocky Habitat Restoration Project Event Day. Volunteers will be asked to assist in the process from 3 to 7 p.m. while spending the afternoon in a beautiful area.
