The West Virginia Water Research Institute has released the agenda for the 2018 West Virginia State Water Conference, which will feature plenary sessions, breakout sessions with local experts, networking and a reception featuring a student poster session at the WVU Wise Library. The event is Sept. 27-28.

On Thursday (Sept. 27), the conference will feature state water policy updates from the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources and the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, a panel presentation on cutting-edge water research in West Virginia, as well as breakout sessions featuring local experts.

The final day (Sept. 28) of the Conference boasts a session detailing the aging water infrastructure in the state from West Virginia American Water president, Brian Bruce, and West Virginia Rural Water Association's Executive Director, Amy Swann, a break out session with local researchers and a cross-disciplinary keynote panel discussing West Virginia pipelines.

The conference provides opportunities for researchers, policymakers, state and federal agencies, private organizations, environmental consultants and the public to become educated on water research happening in the state and share the latest information and technologies.
