Professor Dariusz Stola, Director of the Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews, will deliver the 2018 Pi Lambda Phi lecture Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. in the large lecture hall of White Hall (Room G09).
Co-sponsored by WVU alumni of the former Jewish fraternity Pi Lambda Phi and the Office of the Provost, the lecture, titled, “Polin: A Museum of Jewish Life at a Site of the Holocaust” references the museum’s location within the walls of the former Warsaw ghetto.
A distinguished historian, Stola is a Professor of History at Polish Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Political Studies. His prior publications include works on 20th century human migrations, the Holocaust, Polish-Jewish relations and the history of the communist regime in post-war Poland.
