Environmental Health and Safety offers a combined Laboratory Safety, Hazard Communication, and Hazardous Waste Training twice annually in the beginning of the spring and fall semesters.The first training is scheduled for Aug. 30 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in the Monongahela Room at the Mountainlair.
This training is required annually by the WV Department of Environmental Protection for any person (paid employee or not) who handles chemicals and/or unwanted material in a laboratory and may include, but is not limited to faculty, staff, post-doctoral fellows, interns, researchers, technicians, supervisors/managers, and principal investigators who work unsupervised.
