At West Virginia University, we understand the importance of firsts – the first day of class, being first in line and of course, the first day of a new job. And because we believe you never get a second chance to make a first impression, the Division of Talent and Culture has made enhancements to the new employee orientation program. If you are an existing WVU faculty or staff member who wants to experience the same New Mountaineer Onboarding experience as a new hire, now is your chance. Sessions will be offered at One Waterfront Place, 3rd floor, Room 3117 on the following dates and registration is required.
Dates:
Aug. 22 - 1 to 4 p.m.
Aug. 30 - 8:15 to 11:15 a.m.
Sept. 4 - 1 to 4: p.m.
Sept. 11 - 1 to 4 p.m.
The new, interactive NMO program helps to immediately assimilate new faculty and staff into the WVU culture and values, reaffirm that they have made an excellent decision by choosing WVU as their employer and provides important and useful information that they need to be successful in the first few months of employment. This positive onboarding experience increases employee engagement and helps new faculty and staff feel welcome and sets the stage for early success in their career.
