Learn to play an instrument that has been booming with popularity. Beginner ukulele classes start Sunday (June 24), through the Community Music Program in WVU's Creative Arts Center. Learn how to to read music in the treble clef, count rhythms, pick melodies, and strum chords on the ukulele. Learn music consisting of traditional Hawaiian and American folk songs, and popular songs of today. This class, designed for individuals ages 10-to-adult with little to no prior musical experience, will be offered on Sundays over five weeks. Two different levels: Beginner and Intermediate.
