Many Mountaineer Card functions to be unavailable for maintenance

CS Gold, the application that supports a variety of Mountaineer Card functions, will be down for 24 hours during spring break, starting at 8 a.m. March 14 for important maintenance.

During this time, merchants will be unable to accept Mountie Bounty at any on- or off-campus location. This includes Burger King and Which Wich at the Mountainlair, and Waterfront Café at One Waterfront Place. Those locations will accept cash and credit cards.

MyMountaineerCard.wvu.edu will also be down during this time, meaning you will be unable to purchase or change meal plans, make Mountie Bounty deposits or check account balances.

This planned outage will affect all campuses. Other impacts include:

  • Mountaineer ID cards cannot be produced during this time in Morgantown, Keyser or Beckley. The Health Sciences Center will only be able to produce cards that do not go through CS Gold.
  • Changes may not be made to door lock systems. People who already have access won't be affected.
  • Mobile card readers won't work. These devices are used for such activities as tracking attendance at events and in classrooms, and after-hours security in residence halls.
  • Silent alarms will not function.
