As you know, WVU is committed to attracting and retaining top talent – people who are passionate about their work and committed to moving our University forward.

To this end, the Division of Talent and Culture’s Talent Strategy team is offering training on motivation-based interviewing for faculty and staff across WVU’s Morgantown campus.

MBI is a simple, yet highly effective interviewing method for identifying top talent. And through this training, hiring managers and search committee members will learn how to:

  • Identify potential high performers;

  • assess an applicant’s attitude, motivation, passion and career fit;

  • determine locus of control and skill level;

  • write great MBI interview questions and scoring techniques; and

  • utilize MBI tools and resources for future searches.

Email Donna Bulger at donna.bulger@mail.wvu.edu before March 1 to register. Participants must attend the entire session; however, lunch will be provided.
