The Teaching and Learning Commons is hosting a workshop titled "Writing Your Teaching Statement" by Lori Ogden, Teaching Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics.
A teaching philosophy statement is required by many search committees as part of the faculty hiring process. A teaching philosophy is a self-reflective statement of your beliefs about teaching and learning and should discuss how you put your beliefs into practice. This hands-on workshop will provide participants an opportunity to identify their central beliefs about teaching and consider evidence they can use to support those beliefs in their own teaching statement.
This workshop will be offered from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on two different dates and in two different locations:
- March 6, Shenandoah Room of the Mountainlair
- March 27, Room 234 of the Evansdale Library
To register for the March 6 workshop, visit the event page on the WVU Calendar website.
To register for the March 27 workshop, visit the event page on the WVU Calendar website.
