Call for nominations: Faculty Award for Distinction in Mentoring Undergraduates in Research

Dear WVU Community,

Are you aware of a faculty member who demonstrates excellence in the mentorship of undergraduate pursuing creative scholarly work?

The Honors College and Office of Undergraduate Research are happy to announce they are accepting nominations for Faculty Award for Distinction in Mentoring Undergraduates in Research. The award was developed to recognize, reward and encourage faculty members who mentor undergraduate students in research and creative endeavors.

Nominations for this award will be accepted through March 9,. Nominations are accepted from any source - WVU College Deans, Department Chairs, faculty colleagues, and student researchers, including self-nomination. Nomination of a faculty member from several sources (e.g., multiple students, faculty colleagues or a combination thereof) tend to enhance the nomination. Outstanding nominees will be invited to submit supporting documentation. Awardees will be recognized at the annual Honors College Medallion Recognition Ceremony on May 10.

Nominations should be directed through the nomination portal on Office of Undergraduate Research website.
