Community Music Program offers ukulele classes

Aloha! Learn to play an instrument that has been booming with popularity. Beginner ukulele class starts today (Jan. 23) through the Community Music Program at the School of Music. Learn how to to read music in the treble clef, count rhythms, pick melodies, and strum chords on the ukulele. Learn songs consisting of traditional Hawaiian, American folk songs, and popular songs of today. This class, designed for individuals ages 10-to-adult with little to no prior musical experience, will be offered as Sunday or Tuesday evening options at the Creative Arts Center for eight weeks.
