‘All Clear for the New Year’ Program Reminder

WVU building - green roof

Reminder: “All Clear for the New Year” continues through Feb. 9.

As a reminder, the Office of Sustainability’s “All Clear for the New Year” program is collecting unwanted documents, hardback and paperback books, journals, periodicals, encyclopedias, pamphlets, etc. across WVU’s Morgantown campus.

Employees and departments are encouraged to take advantage of this special opportunity to get rid of any surplus paper-based items from their offices and storage rooms. As part of the program, any confidential material will be securely shredded before it is recycled. Best of all, the program is being offered as a free service through Feb. 9.

Visit the Sustainability website for detailed instructions, collection dates and to request a pick-up.

Before recycling any items, confirm they no longer need to be retained in accordance with the Record Retention Policy and Retention Schedule. Visit the General Counsel site for more information.

Depending on response to the “All Clear for the New Year” program, we will explore extending it to the WVU Tech and Potomac State College campuses in the future. For more information on the program, contact Traci Knabenshue at Traci.Knabenshue@mail.wvu.edu or 304.293.7916.
