Students now required to enter location when using WVU Portal

On Nov. 29, and at the beginning of each term from now on, students using the WVU Portal will be required to indicate the state, territory or country they will be physically located in while taking classes. They must answer this question, or they won’t be able to proceed with any activity in the Portal. The process should only take about 30 seconds.

Students who are unsure where they will be when taking their courses should choose the state, territory or country that best fits. The responses won’t affect residency. This information is being collected only so that WVU can meet all state and federal legal requirements. Visit WVU’s State Authorization Compliance website for details.
