Joe Fries, Business Development Manager for Sallie Mae will present How America Pays for College on Tuesday (Oct. 17) at 8:30a.m. in the Blackwater Room of the Mountainlair. This annual study by Sallie Mae® and Ipsos examines how undergraduates and their families pay for college each year.
Last year the average total amount spent on college was similar to the prior two years, in that families paid less from their income and savings than before. Meanwhile, scholarships, grants, and loans paid a larger share of costs.
The session will also discuss how resources differ by first-in-family students and by region of the country.
