WVU Global Health Week coming up

Global health challenges and experiences will be presented during the School of Medicine's 2017 Global Health Week at the Health Sciences Center.

This event is sponsored by Global Health Program, the Department of Medicine and the School of Pharmacy. The lectures will feature a speaker at noon each day starting Sept. 25.  through Sept. 29 in the Health Sciences Learning Center, Room 1905 and 1901 (Fukushima Auditorium).

“The world is a global community,” Melanie A. Fisher, M.D., M.Sc., Director of the Global Health Program, said. “The health of other countries is closely linked to the health of our own communities in the United States. Lessons learned in global settings can be applied to our own health challenges in West Virginia. It is important for us to have ideas and knowledge concerning global health issues in order to improve the health of people worldwide.”
