Bureaucracy Busters: MyExpenses will reduce risk of mistakes and speed up employee reimbursements

MyExpenses, a new travel expense and reimbursement tool coming this summer, will simplify things for people traveling on University business, getting reimbursements to employees faster and with less risk of error. WVU spends about $23 million on travel per year, including $10 million in reimbursements.

With MyExpenses, you’ll also be able to delegate your reconciliations to your administrative assistant ,Expert Business Office or anyone else you choose, just as you do now. The forms will be automatically routed to the right people for approval.

The first groups to pilot the new tool this summer will be Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, Eberly College of Arts & Sciences and central units that fall under the Administrative Units Shared Service Center. The tool should be available to all WVU employees sometime this fall.
